British actor Henry Cavill who played Superman says his pet dog saved him from mental health struggles.
People were really telling the truth when they said a dog’s a mans best friend. Such loyal companions, never leaving your side and always happy to brighten your whole day. And also many studies have shown that dogs can improve people’s well-being and mental health.
It doesn’t matter from which part of the world you come from, whether you’re rich or you are coming from a poor background, if you have a pet it is very normal to seek comfort in them. An example was made not too long ago when a certain superhero star opened up to the public about the changes in their day to day life, their pet has contributed to.
British actor Henry Cavill most known for his role as Superman in the hit blockbusters “Man of Steel” and “Justice League” also scoring roles in the hit Netflix series “The Witcher”. He’s also starred in other movies such as “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” and “Enola Holmes” (which is still streaming on Netflix).
Everyone needs emotional support, even the movie stars. In a recent interview Henry Cavill has opened up about one of his biggest supporters till this day and that’s his lovely dog Kal.
Fans who follow Cavill on social media are already aware of Kal. As Cavill doesn’t shy away from posting photos of his young American Akita online.
Last year he posted his dog describing him as “part dog, part bear, part pig and all soul,” and also called him an absolute gem.
Cavill had Kal since he was a 10 week old puppy and have since been inseparable. They have spent so much time together to the point where they act in similar ways.

Recently, Henry Cavill joined by his cute dog Kal made an appearance on the British morning chat show Lorraine. The live audience (his fans) were very delighted to see both of them by each other’s side and Cavil opened up about his deep connection with his dog.
According to Daily Mail, Cavill had stated that him and Kal are best friends and that they do everything together.
As the show progressed Cavil explained that his dog helped him greatly with his mental health, and has saved him both emotionally and psychologically. That is the reason why their bond is so strong.
“He notices when I’m wearing my own clothing and moves closer even though he’s usually around.”
With such a strong friendship, it makes sense that Cavill would want to have his closest buddy close him at all times, including while he is working.

New came out that the actor brought his dog with him on the set of a new fantasy series on Netflix called “The Witcher” based on 6 novels and 15 short stories.
Cavill told reporters that Kal spent most of the time in the trailer instead on set because he could potentially disrupt the filming by causing unnecessary noise. He would usually strat barking because he can’t get to Cavil and no one would want a dog running around the set while the actors were doing stunts and sword fighting.

In an interview with “On Demand Entertainment” Cavill said nothing but praise his dog a true companion and in those moments where he just needs another being around him without expecting a lot from them in return.
Henry Cavill ended the interview with the quote “He’s fantastic. To me, he’s very much — he’s a dog but he’s a companion. He’s a person as well.”
